ZMROBO SUPER AI

Competitors build and program a robot on site, then take it through a simulated interstellar route to complete a space-exploration mission inside the time allowed.

Rules in brief

  • The run is limited to 3 minutes
  • Before the run, competitors have 60 minutes to adjust the robot and write their program
  • Place the robot in the Start Zone; no part may extend outside it. If any part sticks out, the robot must be adjusted
  • Each mission completed scores 100 points, with 3 sets of mission points defined
  • Launch point: completing the first signal scores 100 points
  • Moving all the objects scores 100 points; 10 points are deducted for each item not moved
  • Crossing the bridge successfully scores 100 points
  • The guess mission scores 100 points if completed; guessing wrong deducts 50 points
  • Time Bonus: a competitor who completes every main mission, parks inside the frame, signals the clock to stop within 2 minutes and raises a hand scores 100 points
  • Two runs are held, and the best run counts

What to bring

  • Competitors bring their own laptop and robot
  • New competitors: the organiser has robots to lend
